Biografie

Hinde Boujemaa directed, in 2012, the feature-length documentary Ya Man Aach (It Was Better Tomorrow), which premiered out of competition in the Venice Festival’s Official Selection and competed in numerous international competitions. In 2014 she directed four short films in support of the fight against the discrimination and inequality faced by women. That same year her short fiction Et Romeo épousa Juliette (...and Romeo Married Juliet) won the Muhr Award for Best Short Film at the Dubai Festival, among other accolades. Le rêve de Noura (Noura’s Dream) is her first feature.
