Biografie

She produced 18 and a Half Cigarettes in 2011. She directed the feature documentary El tiempo nublado in 2014, which won the Regard Neuf for best first film at Visions du Réel. In 2016, the film was the first Paraguayan entry ever to the Oscar. Her second feature documentary Apenas el sol was the opening film at IDFA in 2020 and also represented Paraguay at the Oscar in 2020 in two categories: international feature and documentary feature. She was nominated for the IDA Awards in 2021 and for the Swiss Film Award in 2022. The film received a FIPRESCI Award, among other 14 international awards.
