Reunion

Likable doctor Hersholt, in a follow-up to THE COUNTRY DOCTOR, is about to retire after having delivered his 3,000th baby. The townspeople decide to honor Hersholt by staging a reunion of as many of the people he's brought into the world as can be mustered. This includes quite a few characters, including a governor, a pickpocket, an actress, and the Dionne quintuplets, who fascinated the world in the 1930s. There is not much of a plot to this picture, but rather a concentration upon characterization and the good deeds of the doctor. (Verleiher-Text)
