An unscrupulous businessman is trying to get residents of an old neighborhood in L.A. to leave their homes so that he can build a huge business center. He sends in his goons to "persuade" them, bribing the police along the way. The situation looks hopeless... Enter Jack Manning, alcoholic ex-cop, railroaded into jail because he couldn't be bought. An unlikely hero. But he may be just the guy to stand up and fight the bad guys. And this time he's got some help, from an activist who brings love back into his life. (Verleiher-Text)
