A blind child is learning to read the Braille alphabet. We are witnesses to moments of struggle and of joy as the child is surmounting the difficulties the reading is causing. This film was shot in the first grade of an elementary school for blind children at the Institute for the Blind in Laski, near Warsaw. It competed in the 3-minutes movie competition at the Oberhausen Filmfestival in 1979 where it was awarded the first prize. (International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam)
