The Jewish Defence League (JDL) was a militant Jewish organisation that prowled around the streets of Brooklyn, New York, in the turbulent sixties. The members, calling themselves 'chayas' (wild animals), regularly committed acts of terror against Arabs, blacks and diplomats from the Soviet Union. The JDL, that soon shifted its sphere of activity to the Israel-occupied territories, was led by Meir Kahane, a fanatical rabbi. In their first film Never, Again, Forever filmmakers Pierre Chanet and Danae Elon reconstruct the history of this movement. Through interviews with former followers of the JDL they find out that hatred can have deep roots. They think that every form of fundamentalism sooner or later leads to catastrophe.
