Weijian lianhua

It is only after the death of her mother that Yu embraces the religion that so captivated her. Her mother’s friends encourage her conversion, but her husband is not quite as enthusiastic. Meanwhile, Yu is trying to find the driver who caused her mother’s death. When she finds the culprit, he turns out to be a powerful man prepared to pay a lot of money in order to escape punishment. A very interesting look at how grief can cause us to make unexpected life choices. (Göteborg Film Festival)
