Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge

Really awesome and a nostalgic blast! Before we get the movie version of Mortal KombatI definitely recommend this one. If you can get past the fact that it's animated, you're in for some bloated, hyped up, non-stop action mayhem that doesn't really mess with anything. Blood spurting slowly from the screen, heads, limbs, intestines flying in all directions, people dismembered in so many ways you can't even imagine. It's one long fun action ride that honestly took my breath away. I also praise the choreography of the fights, which are intense enough, the music, and the humour, with Johnny Cage drops one wisecrack after another. Better than both Mortal Kombat films without a doubt. There are orgasms to be had here, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like animation much. This is a blast, with more gore than all the slashers in the last five years! Story****, Action*****, Humor****, Violence*****, Fun*****, Music*****, Visuals****, Atmosphere****, Suspense***. 9/10. Excessively bloody, occasionally spasmodic, B-movie-esque in every bit of dialogue. In other words, the best thing ever created in the film or TV world on the subject of the legendary eternal tournament. Liu Kang has already enjoyed the main role enough (and still remains at the forefront of the main band), so it's only right that others have received attention, especially in a story that respects the basic mythology while also being able to deviate functionally. Uninitiated viewers will have a spectacle that doesn't pull punches, while fans get fond winks and nudges every five minutes, in the bloodiest moments quoting everything from the classic first installment to the newest additions – simply a balanced and fast-paced ride that delivers exactly what the long, cheesy title promises. Next time, however, I wouldn't be afraid to look into a completely different time period; Kung Lao in particular would be a great fit for a film. (22.05.2020)

Brutalitäten, Fatalitäten... dazu viel Blut, ne Handvoll legendärer Gerüchte - kurz gesagt, genau das, was ein Mensch von Mortal Kombat will. Für mich eindeutig (bisher) die beste Adaption aus dieser Spielreihe, die alles Wichtige mitnimmt, richtig brutal und blutig ist, inklusive gebrochener Knochen und Quetschungen, in Stücke schneiden, Abtrennung von Kopf mitsamt Wirbelsäule... Außerdem das meiste der "Brutalitäten" und "Fatalitäten" ist so schön ikonisch durchgeführt, dass ein Fan dieser Spieleserie wirklich Spaß daran hat. Die Animation ist auch sehr gut, das einzige, was mir hier zur Perfektion fehlt, ist ein ikonischer Song... Aber für mich ist er trotzdem super! "Finish him" 8.8/10 (13.04.2020)
