Yu Araki is interested in questions of authenticity via remaking, rearranging and reinterpreting. This contemplative film about an expert griller working at one of the oldest Robatayaki restaurants in Japan, subtly refers to indigenous Ainu culture, as well as the environmental movement in contemporary society.
