Las cercanas

In a small apartment in Buenos Aires, crowded with memories and invaded by an enormous grand piano, the 91-year-old Cavallini twins pass their days between the love and hatred they have for their powerful genetic tie. There, they remember their past career as a duet of professional pianists. Two identical girls, proper and pretty, dressed the same, with a lot of talent. Those first years and the ones that came after – with grants to study in the United States –, were the happiest of their lives. Through the documentary, a flame seems to have been relit in the gaze of the Cavallinis. They return to sit at the piano and play musical scores from memory.
