In order to increase their online hits, a group of teenagers enter a building that, years ago, had been abandoned following a shootout between the police and a sect. There, they will find a series of papers which, in the hands of Linda, a girl who shouldn’t be there and is unaware of the powers she possesses, reveal an ancient text. This is the first time Kimo Stamboel is working without his brother Timo Tjahjanto, and it's an incredible bummer, to the point where I wonder what Stamboel was doing on previous films, because the blood of the butcher is clearly not boiling in him. The film is based on a famous Indonesian video game, which may have looked good on paper, but in real life it's rubbish. There's no gore, zero tension and almost no atmosphere. Occasionally there was an interesting idea, but Stamboel couldn't fully exploit it. A great pity and next time only with the brother! Boring. 20%.
