The lanky 20-year-old Antoine has so many options for his future: should he work in his mother’s restaurant in Montreal? Or join a friend there who is developing a theatre project and urgently needs Antoine’s skilled craftsmanship for his set construction? Should he go to Paris and study at “Ferrandi”, the “Harvard of culinary schools”, or stay in the sleepy provincial town of Port-Neuf, where he works as a welder, hangs out with his buddies and has fun with the girls, Sara and her younger sister Lea? He has sex with Sara, which curiously annoys the insecure Lea, who might still be a child, but is more mature than one might think at first sight. Talking to Antoine, the jealous Lea insinuates a story of abuse between her father and Sara, which Antoine can hardly believe and which exasperates Sara even more.
