I appreciate that it's a film without frills, meaning nothing excessive, where even the unpleasant aspects are portrayed in a way that has the right impact. Yet it still retains that uniquely Indian vibrancy and musicality, just as colorful. The fates of these three women are interesting and intriguing enough for the viewer to give them a chance.
