Zkáza Dejvického divadla

The management of once-famous and maybe even classical Dejvice Theatre is faced with an unexpected and essentially existential trial. The cultural institution is denied a grant and finds itself in a situation when the members are forced to care for themselves, i.e. round up money for its operation while maintaining their artistic ambitions. That is the premise of a comedy series whose main and only protagonist is the troupe of the Dejvice Theatre inevitably headed towards its doom. It’s a mystification using elements of absurd and black humor and inspired by the poetics of this very theatre. – This six-part series stars all members of the theatre company as well as other staff members, relatives and friends.
