Englisch A candidate for the Golden Raspberry for the most frustrating film and the worst "expensive" film of the year. Tom Holland, after the great Cherry, and Mads Mikkelsen, after the excellent Riders of Justice, step into a big pile of shit, a film that slightly tarnishes their reputation. Doug Liman, mysteriously without Tom Cruise, is a complete loser, and while watching, I had the feeling that a woman was directing the film because shooting a sci-fi post-apocalyptic blockbuster without a single action scene is like serving goulash without beef and dumplings in a restaurant awarded 3 Michelin stars. While watching, I had feelings similar to watching The Host from 2013. Extremely boring, slow, uninteresting with terribly cheap CGI effects (that digital cloud around the characters is really monstrous). It does have an original idea where people can read minds, which might have sounded good on paper, but it is presented in an extremely annoying style, and I believe that without this element, the film would have been more enjoyable. I was hoping that at least the finale would save it, and when I saw the whole village on horses, which was leading to an interesting battle, it ultimately ends with a 1-on-1 duel, and at that moment, Liman nailed the coffin shut. I don't know what is worse, the film or the people who rate it equally or, God forbid, even better than Godzilla vs Kong. Seeing the film in the cinema, I'm still digesting it for a week. Proper teen shite. ()

Englisch A super topic, solid acting and wobbly directing. The potential of the depicted world is huge and it’s a shame that it’s not put to full use. Unfortunately you can see that it was reedited and reshot. The ending is particularly shoddy. It definitely doesn’t deserve a complete rejection even though I’d like to see #releasethelimancut, Chaos Walking is too intriguing for that. I’ll try the books. ()

Englisch I'd be interested in the first, according to the studio, unusable version, because what I've seen isn't bad, it has some good ideas or at least the germs of them, but the whole thing is unbearably safe. I wasn't surprised at all, and that shouldn't happen in a film with unfamiliar characters and in an unfamiliar setting. On the one hand I liked the sci-fi western concept, on the other it made everything look kind of cheesy, but the actors were fine – Tom Holland didn't play Spider-Man, Daisy Ridley was very nice in the moments when she had to deal with hearing what her counterpart thought of her. Englisch Taking into account how much this sci-fi adventure thriller cost, I have to say that it is no earth-shattering movie. Unfortunately, even the script doesn't particularly deviate from regular Hollywood average. Perhaps only the central duo of Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley keep this movie afloat. Mads Mikkelsen as the bad guy is a bit of an afterthought here, as he has basically nothing to play. (45%) ()
