Apache Warrioris an eye-opening, feature-length documentary that puts the viewer in the cockpit of an Apache helicopter during some of the most intense moments in aviation history. Telling the story of the Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Calvary, this film highlights the evolution of Apache strategy in the Army through missions that span three decades. Perhaps the most dangerous mission in Apache history was during the initial surge into Iraq in March of 2003. Using flight tapes and recorded radio chatter, this film immerses the viewer on this high-risk, high-reward operation, allowing the audience to experience the chaos in almost real time. As the choppers venture far into enemy territory, they're bombarded by millions of rounds fired off from Iraq's most highly-trained and feared military divisions. Suddenly, the mission changes into a fight for survival. It's this adversity that brings out the tenacity, adaptability and intelligence of both the pilots, and the highly technical machines these warriors are flying. This gut-wrenching experience puts war in a very real perspective, as these incredibly brave men and women try to make it out of hell live.
