Moon Jung-sook (Kim Hee-ae) runs a small travel agency that’s recently hit some hard times, when she comes across an article about an elderly ‘comfort’ woman in the newspaper. Having a now empty office, and wanting to help, she sets up a call center for victims to come forward. Expecting just one or two calls (maybe if that) she is shocked when a flood of calls start coming in. As she begins to travel to the homes of these women, and hear their stories, she is inspired to organize the women to fight for restitution from the Japanese government. Little does she know that this will set the stage for a legal fight that will take over six years and cross international borders. (Hawaii International Film Festival)
