Mosquito isn't a great film, but it still has a bit more of an 80s vibe than the 90s, and it has something that can catch your attention at first glance, at least if you enjoy B-movies. The film's special effects are a bit naive, but it's precisely the effects that are the most well-executed aspect here. There's a bit of nudity, gore that isn't taken to the extreme, and ultimately quite tolerable characters in a simple story.
