A 15-year-old boy's journey toward innocence lost drives this striking drama by Brazilian filmmaker José Pedro Goulart. Placed squarely in the middle of his parents' dissolving marriage, young Enio takes his life into his own hands and steals his father's car for the night. Finding the number of a prostitute, he pursues her through a world devoid of comfort, down rain-soaked streets where neon lights pulse in the darkness, as his father's words seem to ricochet off the cement surfaces of the city: "There is life, there is death and there is luck.
