Pártos Ádám, a busy director of a factory, forgets about the 2nd anniversary of his marriage. Éva, a neglected unhappy wife, has "a few days off", despite Ádám being opposed to the idea, travelling alone, using her passport with her maiden name, in order to bring some life to their now boring marriage. The beautiful woman, apparently on her own, is quite a bit of a sight in the fashionable hotel. She is approached by several man. One of them is Kotovszky Iván, a marriage swindler, now in debt. Éva is flattered by the man's passionate courting, but when he turns up in her room starting to become importunate, she cries for help. While trying to wriggle out of the man's embrace, she throws a vase out of the window, which lands on a taxi-dancer's head. Éva is expelled from the hotel for what is thought to be her scandalous behaviour, and is only saved from a series of rather unpleasant scenes at the police station by the appearance of her husband. She admits that travelling on her own was a bad idea, and returns home with her husband, feeling remorseful about what she has done. They celebrate the 3rd anniversary of their marriage with their new-born baby. (Verleiher-Text)
