Katsura Kotaro wird nach der Begegnung mit einem mysteriösen Schwertkämpfer vermisst und so beauftragt Elizabeth, seine wortkarge Kameradin, die Alles-Agentur, um ihn aufzuspüren zu lassen. Während Shinpachi und Kagura sich auf die Suche nach Katsura begeben erhält Gintoki einen neuen Auftrag: Das gestohlene Schwert Benizakura zu finden. Außerdem machen sich die Drei, die dauernd an Geldknappheit leiden, auf die Jagd nach Hornkäfern. Denn diese können äußerst lukrativ weiterverkauft werden. Such stupid fun. It's a comedy, a parody, and you can't expect anything else from it. It may look cheap, but I feel like that is simply part of Gintama (for example, the episode in the anime where they were just skimping on animation and Gin couldn't get out of bed). It’s great stupid fun, especially good at the beginning, then of course it has to get a bit serious and then I wasn't really that into it anymore. But still very well done live action film. That year 2017 was pretty prolific for them.
