Blood Moon is kind of a standard film that you'd envision under the label "western horror." The setting is captured quite well, as is the costume aspect, but the actual horror essence of the film simply settles for the presence of werewolves. And that's it. There was no need to put more into the film, it just kind of engages the audience on its own. And if not, well, it wasn't very expensive anyway.
