You can tell it has the right Christmas atmosphere, which really only hits you during that time of year. And it also has Patrick Stewart, which is really quite inconsequential because he doesn't add anything extra to the film. The power goes out, a few people get stuck somewhere, and they realize how wonderful it is to be human and have each other. Nothing groundbreaking, but some of the relationships are fine.
