Perhaps the most pessimistic work in Čaroděj's filmography. Based on the novel 1984, the film depicts a world in which there is no escape from the all-seeing eye and the only possible truth, enforced upon all and at any cost. The creator of this world is a party possessing the same repressive mechanisms as in the real world: secret police, surveillance, arrests, interrogations and torture. The film's heavy atmosphere is intensified by means of architectural elements such as the Strahov dormitories or the back streets of Letná. (Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival)
