Doktor Proktor (Kristoffer Joner) ist ein in Oslo lebender Erfinder. Die einen finden ihn genial, die anderen völlig verrückt, denn Doktor Proktor hat einen Saft gebraut, der einen grün leuchten lässt. Doch besonders stolz ist er auf seine neueste Erfindung: ein geruchloses Pupspulver, das so stark ist, dass man es sogar als Raketenantrieb verwenden könnte. Seine kleinen Freunde Lise (Emily Glaister) und ihr frecher Nachbar Bulle (Eilif H. Noraker) sind begeistert. Doch sie sind nicht die Einzigen, die sich für das explosive Pulver interessieren: Auch der zwielichtige Herr Thrane (Atle Antonsen) wird auf den Plan gerufen. I don’t understand how Jo Nesbø managed to switch from bleak crime stories to a fairy tale about a doctor and his powder that gives you the power of farting all the way to the clouds. However, I haven’t read the book and believe it can be fun. The most fun of this movie was the opening scene with the cat… it all went downhill from there. Had it been a bit more politically incorrect, it probably wouldn’t have been as terrible.

For a moment, I even thought that the concept could be quite funny and that it might be fun to watch such a movie, but even though I haven't read the book, the movie definitely didn't appeal to me. It's as if Jo Nesbø had already written too many thrillers and just decided to veer off into something a bit crazy. It's not much, but mainly, it's just not very entertaining. At least in the movie version.
