Englisch 19) GODZILLA vs. KING GHIDORAH – HEISEI SERIES 1984-1995. So the Godzilla franchise has already included the Pacific War and the Terminator, I like that. The plot is terrible, the filmmakers threw into the screenwriting cauldron the following: a) evil earthlings from the future who try to prevent Japanese economic domination; b) a prehistoric lizard from World War II, which later evolves into Godzilla due to radioactivity; c) the year 1944 and a battle between American troops and Japanese troops on a Pacific island; d) three plush monkeys with bat wings, who, after nearby nuclear tests, mutate into the three-headed dragon King Ghidorah; e) a cyborg from the future who emerges from a burning car slightly scratched (as in Terminator 2) and runs faster than a race car; f) a flying saucer, and I don't know what else. On top of all that, there's a convoluted plot twist where humanity first invokes Godzilla to overpower King Ghidorah, only to revive him in the future and, with his help, rid the Earth of Godzilla, who’s ravaging Japan. As much as I enjoy the charming awfulness of the Godzilla concept as a whole, this was already too much for me. ()

Englisch The rumours of the worst story in the series are not to be believed. It's the height of sophistication; time travel (without any rules or logic, just as it needs to be), dinosaurs being rescued, monsters mutating, fighting in the Pacific, a cringeworthy aliens, a "T-1000 would be a ragdoll against it" android, a cyborg three-headed golden dragon, and a Godslayer on a warpath. Okay, it's somewhat bloated, but it's not unintentionally ridiculous. It's charmingly stupid in all its guilelessness. The kaiju action is very good though, it's nicely swashbuckling and there is not shortage of destruction. A B-movie with one goal: to entertain. And it succeeds brilliantly. ()

Englisch The film "Gojira vs. Kingu Gidorah" is a B-movie with quite an interesting story, which I personally found quite original and nicely tangled. There is always something happening here, unexpected moments occur, and the overall development is designed not to bore. Moreover, alien races return, which simply belonged to kaiju films of the previous era. I enjoyed it and I don't think it was a misstep, which was confirmed by the film's box office success - "Gojira vs. Kingu Gidorah" became a commercial success compared to the previous film with Biorante.
