El lugar del hijo

A kid travels from Montevideo to Salto, a city in a province in Uruguay, to go to his father’s burial. As part of his inheritance, he finds a piece of land and debts, an old dog and a city house which brings him even more problems. In top of this, his father’s lover refuses to leave everything behind and stays to live with him. This story about lack of roots and personal reconstruction also functions as a metaphor about the country that is inherited by the youth and the work implied in taking charge of its future.
