In the Brazilian road movie Buddies, we follow destiny of three friends who are linked to each other by Down's syndrome, unfulfilled dreams and insurmountable love for film. One day, they decide – inspired by the film Thelma & Louise – to steal gardener's car and run away from the institution towards their life longings. Thus a crazy story starts; a story where a criminal plot and a wedding cannot be missing. Film director Marcelo Galvão is consciously inspired by poetry of American independent movie that merge with expressive means of magic realism and Brazilian and Argentinian realities. (Kino Brasil)
