Eigentlich ist die Tatsache, dass I-Aah (Ralph Wright) mal wieder seinen Schwanz verloren hat, schon aufregend genug. Doch bei der Suche nach einem Ersatzschwanz bemerken Puuh (Sterling Holloway) und seine Freunde Tigger (Paul Winchell), Rabbit (Junius Matthews), Ferkel (John Fiedler), Kanga (Barbara Luddy) und Ruh (Clint Howard) zudem, dass Christopher Robin (Bruce Reitherman) spurlos verschwunden ist. Schnell sind sich die Tiere einig: Er muss entführt worden sein! Schließlich schickt Eule (Hal Smith) die ganze Bande auf eine kühne Mission quer durch den Hundertmorgenwald, um Christopher Robin zu finden und ihn zu befreien. Es wird ein turbulenter Tag für den tollpatschigen Bären, der doch eigentlich nur etwas Honig finden wollte. (Walt Disney Deutschland)

The First Adventure of the Yellow Hairball. Walt Disney respected its book source, and that is evident in the movie through the almost constant portrayal "on paper". I don't mind naive old-school Disney movies, like The Jungle Book, thanks to a certain childishness, still retaining their charm to this day, but here there were too many songs about celebrations, friendship, and beauty. If someone wants a beautiful and funny story from the forest, they should rather try Bambi; Winnie the Pooh deserves credit only for Rabbit and Eeyore.
