In Series 1 Kirstie Allsopp is on a mission to transform a dilapidated country cottage in Devon into the ultimate 'homemade' home, with everything either made in the UK, or made by her. In each episode, Kirstie renovates a room and creates a unique and personal dream interior. And where better to start than the room that's going to be at the heart of it all? The kitchen. For inspiration, Kirstie noses around Lanhydrock House, with one of the finest Victorian kitchens in the country, and gets the queen of vintage nostalgia Cath Kidston's advice on quirky table design. Kirstie's passionate about great British craftspeople, and three talented artisans let her have a go at making bespoke items that could last her a lifetime. She has a throw on the potting wheel, turns a lump of glass into a beautiful tumbler, and gets to grips with a sewing machine. As the country feels the pinch, Kirstie, who loves a bargain, shows how to bag hidden gems at knock-down prices as she buys antiques and collectables at her local market. And even better: she's searching out the free stuff, looking for unloved items that she can give the TLC they deserve as she goes skip-diving!

In Series 2 Crafty Kirstie Allsopp sets up base camp in her cottage to take viewers on a homemade Christmas journey of inspired decoration, wonderful gifts and perfect entertaining. In each episode Kirstie takes on a theme and offers viewers the perfect guide to transforming any home into a Christmas spectacle, from Christmas decorations and handmade and homemade presents, to entertaining with plenty of food, drink and general merriment. Kirstie also visits local craftspeople and markets to try new crafts, creating her very own decorations, from blowing glass baubles to making wreaths, gingerbread men, stockings and candles.
