US-Marshall Duke Donovan (Kix Brooks) wird beschuldigt, dem skrupellosen Verbrecher Levi Hardin (Luke Massy) bei einem schweren Banküberfall geholfen zu haben. Dafür wird er zu einer lebenslangen Haftstrafe verurteilt. Während er sich im Gefängnis mit Mitinsassen herumschlagen muss, die er selbst hinter Gitter gebracht hat, macht ihm der sadistische Aufseher Cullen Logan (Timothy V. Murphy) endgültig das Leben zur Hölle. Als Duke auch noch erfährt, dass der Bankräuber Hardin nach wie vor am Leben ist und plant, Donovans Frau (Sydney Penny) umzubringen, entschließt sich der ehemalige Marshall dazu, aus dem Gefängnis auszubrechen. Gemeinsam mit seinem Zellengenossen Cyrus Parker (Ernie Hudson) schmiedet er Fluchtpläne... (kinokater)

The attempt to make a western film in today's time always seems quite admirable to me because there aren't many creators who can capture the right atmosphere, create the right characters, and give it such a form that it is modern but still holds onto the genre. It is rather an average film that doesn't have the spirit of a western, but it tries. You can watch it, but you won't be particularly blown away by it. Nevertheless, I'm still glad that someone is trying to make a western. Only a very small number of creators succeed in this, but I count the effort in this case.
