Die Stooges - Drei Vollpfosten drehen ab

It would be very easy to condemn "The Three Stooges". The humor may seem silly, simple, and even stupid at times. We constantly watch three guys. One beats up the other two for anything, the other two are dumb, but they make great sounds and interesting gestures. But they are fools to look at, through and through. The problem is not that the film has dumb humor, the problem is that young people will perceive it exactly like this. "The Three Stooges" is nothing more than an attempt to bring grotesque comedy to the present and shoot it in color and with sound, but with the preservation of previous methods. It is not about transferring the best grotesques, but rather about the format. The form is better than the content in this case. Essentially, it is a perfect grotesque. And that is precisely why it will not work. The humor simply is not funny. People will not laugh at someone getting hit in the groin, the other slipping on a banana peel, etc. The Three Stooges was a group that existed from 1930 to 1971, with changes in the lineup, but only in the character of Curly (different actors with different names took turns), Larry and Moe remained the same. Their trademark was their silly hairstyles and simple humor that sometimes reached absurdity. In the new version, "The Three Stooges" somewhat resemble their predecessors, but to such an extent that their faces and hair are so ridiculous that it disgusts a person. They are not heroes that people would fall in love with. Their humor is not original, in some cases, it is visible that the screenwriters were inspired by Jim Carrey's comedy, but they definitely did not reach the same level. The Farrelly brothers paid tribute to a group that is not very well known here, they made a modern grotesque, but they did not succeed. This simply is not something that young people will like, but I have to highlight the form, which is simply perfect. Additionally, the great sounds, truly grotesque, in this sense, it's worth it.
