When her husband leaves her to go with a very young girl, the first hot flashes begin to announce the definitive maturity. Her gynecologist treats her with paternalism, prescribes hormones, and advises her to maintain an active sex life. Her daughter, a fanatic psychotherapist with no sense of humor, tortures her by subjecting her to constant therapy. And to top it all, it seems that no matter what happens, a mature woman is always expected to be balanced, reasonable and sensible.
