What happens in a summer resort during the other seasons of the year? Employing a splendid ensemble cast, SEASIDE follows a group of residents in a French beach town through their work, loves and leisure. Beautiful young Marie works at a factory, sorting pebbles and dreaming of escape. Her boyfriend Paul stifles her with his clumsy love, and things get really awkward when his mother (Bulle Ogier, l'Amour Fou) moves in after gambling away her money on one-arm bandits. Albert, an unmotivated young executive with a doting wife, starts to seem like a regular prince charming to restless Marie. (Verleiher-Text)
