Englisch A co-produced documentary about the composition of Janáček’s intimate work, “The Diary of One Who Disappeared". What makes it just an average documentary is the length which, thanks to the parts where Brits are singing in Czech, is almost unbearable. On the other hand, the classic documentary part, delving into the circumstances and influences affecting the work’s creation is outstanding and fascinating - whether it focuses on his controversial amorous affairs or, through the eyes of a Brit, it investigates opinion of Roma people reigning in Bohemia at the beginning of the twentieth century.
