The only friend Jim doesn´t want, is the only friend he can get. For the first time in his life, Jim has to deal with someone who wants to be his friend. The only trouble is that it´s the new kid in town. And he´s fat, mean and ready to kill anyone who disagrees with him.
Jim is 12 years old, but in many ways much older. He´s´the smallest kid in class, and is forced to buy cigarettes and beer and arrange parties in his garage for the cooler kids. He also has to take care of his mother who is extremely anxious and doesn´t´want to leave the house. Trying to stay alive at school and preparing for Christmas at home, Jim still manages to keep his spirits up. Then the new kid begins in class, and decides to make matters worse for JIm.
