A western with a message? I guess it's not that strange, because westerns with cowboys and Indians were pretty normal, while this one tries to show that neither side is downright evil, which actors like Anthony Quinn and Rock Hudson try to emphasize. Both are fine, but neither can save the naively stupid happy ending that comes at the end of the film.
