Zwei in die Jahre gekommene Schauspieler werden überredet, nach über zwanzig Jahren nochmals für eine Sondersendung gemeinsam vor die Kamera zu treten. Das Problem? Walter Matthaus is a total classic in this movie, a choleric like no other. And he’s perfectly complimented by George Burns, who tries to get along with Walter even though it’s practically impossible. It creates an infinite amount of incredible scenes in which Walter showcases an unearthly performance of a neurotic who creates scenes that I can’t even imagine with my own nature. This entire time, the comedy is making it clear which way it’s going to go and it looked like it’s gonna get three stars the entire time because it kept repeating itself. But the ending finished it all, because it showed something that I’ve completely forgot about in the course of this movie – humanity.
