Mój Nikifor

Based on real events, the film covers the last eight years of the life of Nikifor, numbered among the five greatest naive artists of the world. For most of his life, Nikifor was misunderstood, ridiculed and treated with contempt. In Krynica he was regarded as insane, provoking either fear or laughter. In 1960 Nikifor met Marian Włosiński, a young painter. Włosiński initially wanted to get rid of the nuisance, but when he got to know Nikifor better, he discovered his inborn genius. He abandoned his own painting ambitions and taking care of Nikifor became the whole meaning of his life. (Warsaw Film Festival)
