ancsi and Juli, teachers of music, set out with their daughter Szandi, a prospective pianist, to visit Jancsi's father in Las Vegas, in order to try their luck there. Jancsi's father is a junkman in the prairie, living with his new wife in a „splendid" cabin, yet he still believes in the American way of life. Jancsi takes casual jobs. He happens to suffers a bad accident. He would be entitled to 150 thousand dollars, but the insurance agent turns him in. Juli, working as a cleaner in a bar, falls in love with a Mexican guest worker. Szandi meets an American boy. The insurance fraud incurs imprisonment. Out of despair, Jancsi almost becomes a murderer. He parts from Szandi, who has had a car crash, and boards a plane for home. Unexpectedly he is joined by his father. (InterCom)
