Englisch But yes, Hoskins is a great character actor and the role of General Noriega was an opportunity to use his full acting range and show the general in many of his aspects - as a cheerful host, passionate lover, fiery speaker - populist, repentant Catholic, brutal murderer, and cynical drug dealer. However, the script is unusually average considering the possibilities that the life of the "little" general offered, and unfortunately, the direction is bland. The dialogues in several places resembled a soap opera, lacking the dimension of real drama. In many details, the film is not so much inaccurate as it is untrustworthy. Whether it's the connection of the Cuban leader Castro with the Colombian drug mafia or Noriega's decoration of his official office with Nazi symbolism, including a large portrait of Adolf Hitler. Overall impression: 55%. ()
