The film is a musical comedy about the life of soldiers. Two teams of newly recruited soldiers compete in the army post situated in the country-side. The rough-necks from the vocational school are possessed with pop-music, while the students of the music school prefer the art of whistling. The commander organises an orchestra out of the two teams for the competition "What Can You Do?" In the meantime, the soldiers also compete for the favours of the girls in the student hostel. They are in for punishment, however, because of the night adventures of Ditrói, the great rough-neck. Fortunately, after the work performed in the "Laundry", they get selected for the pre-final. In the final, they get the chance to perform together with the gymnastics team of the girls. Before that they heroically take part in stopping the fire after a gas explosion, therefore they arrive at the final in the last seconds. They proved their capability in work, and did the same in art, too. (Verleiher-Text)
