Barrios bajos

Ricardo, a young petit bourgeois man, catches his wife cheating on him and shoots the other man to death. Then he hides out in a slum café with his old friend “El Valencia,” a good-natured worker who protects him from the curiosity of Floreal, a dangerous pimp. Floreal’s procurer stalks Rosa, whom they intend to prostitute. The young woman ends up working in the café where “El Valencia” works; he will protect her even if it means confronting Floreal.
