The Company Of Men is the story of a young man, Léonard, adopted son of the wealthy arms dealer Henri Jurrieu, caught in a web of lies and brutality. Desperate to escape from beneath Jurrieu's shadow, Léonard is manoeuvred into an ill-advised business deal which leaves him open to blackmail at the hands of his father's vengeful enemies. Trapped in a world of which he finally wants no part, he is forced to betray Jurrieu in order to keep his love and respect, and when this is no longer bearable, to renounce everything.
