Ferrell Takes the Field

In a role filled with hopes and dreams, actor/comedian Will Ferrell travels to five different spring-training ballparks in Arizona over the course of a single day, setting out to play every position for a total of ten different teams. The one-hour special is dedicated to the fight against cancer, with proceeds going to Cancer for College, which helps individuals adversely affected by cancer realize their dream of a college education. Taped during spring training before the start of the 2015 baseball season, Ferrell's historic day sees him donning the uniforms of ten MLB teams to play all 10 positions for one inning each - a feat reminiscent of Bert Campaneris, the former player who played nine positions for the Kansas City Athletics in a 1965 game against the California Angels. With cameras following Ferrell every step of the way, as he gets "traded" from team to team, Ferrell Takes the Field offers up classic Ferrell-isms as he unleashes his comedic talents on the diamond - and all for a good cause.
