The Indian movie Bulbbul was produced by Netflix, so I was hoping that it would stray away from the classic Bollywood production tropes. Its slight difference is in there being no songs and dance routines. Even the running time is appropriate. Even though some scenes have potential, it is still a pretty weak horror movie. I just wish there was someone who was not afraid to fully exploit all the potential there was.

Personally speaking, I feel like the story in Dorohedoro was buried and lost underneath all the weird stuff they make you watch. However, it manages to resurface at the end, and you will be surprised at how deep it ends up being. From my perspective, though, I cannot help it. The only thing that wowed me about this anime series was how incredible the imagination that only the Japanese have is.

The American movie Becky not only features the more-than-interesting transformation of Kevin James but also works brilliantly as a revenge flick. Becky is played by a pretty young girl, and she takes down some pretty big guys. The movie's hype was based around this particular trope, and I thoroughly enjoyed how Becky portrayed it. The move’s great use of gore was just the icing on the cake.

The American movie Mutant is a fine example of a B-movie. There is plenty of suspense, plus it is an action-packed horror movie unafraid of bordering on trash or clichés. However, it does not matter at all because it is so fun to watch, mainly because Mutant has a decent plot and not just a parade of filth, although when it comes down to it, in terms of practical effects Mutant is very good. I think this is a great movie and well worth watching.

The American production Mayhem is basically a slightly different take on zombie movies. Trying to survive in an office building put under quarantine during a zombie apocalypse is hardly an original concept. However, it still works, and it is quite entertaining as a one-time-thing. If you waste an evening on this, you will not feel disappointed. Just take it for what it is.

The British movie Ibiza Undead/Zombie Spring Breakers goes about its business and brings nothing new to the table. It is also not very entertaining. The jokes are a bit embarrassing rather than funny, and the characters are quite irritating as well. You end up wishing the characters would all get killed off, which unfortunately does not happen, so this movie does not work.

The Italian movie Little Necro Red contains mainly English dialogue, and there are hardly any Italian features in it. However, that does not really matter because the location is irrelevant in this type of movie. After all, the most important thing is that it is a gnarly well-produced movie with tons of revolting gore, and therefore Little Necro Red cannot disappoint the viewer. On the contrary, it manages to be quite thrilling, and even if you have seen enough disgusting movies, there are still some surprising scenes that are the main appeal of this particular movie.

The American movie Animal Among Us is not a great horror flick. Its attempt at having the viewer draw a lesson feels redundant and, honestly, should have been omitted. In general, it is a good horror movie about what lurks in the woods. Uncovering the cause of the girls' deaths could definitely have been more interesting, although somehow, I felt that the movie’s makers did an OK job for what it is.

The American movie From Hell It Came is just a 50s B-movie and is thus very stupid and naive in places, and due to its simplicity and naivety, it can be quite charming. It is a straightforward movie some people find funny, although certainly not in any good way. It is obvious why despite the fact it is clearly a B-movie by today’s standards, the movie’s makers were still going for the classification as a science-fiction horror movie.

The American horror movie Jeepers Creepers 3 is not a completely undignified follow-up to the previous two movies as they were not amazing either. However, it still works as a sequel that, although it is not really essential, does sort of come full circle. The main thing is that there is a monster that kills and whether the humans will be able to manage somehow to defeat it. It is gritty and macho, but that is about all there is to it.
