Victor/Victoria (1982)

Englisch Blake Edwards was one of the few directors who knew how to make comedies that at times seemed absolutely insane, but then in the next scene, you could say they were actually quite clever. And on top of that, there's a story that makes sense and has a coherent plot. Moreover, everything is spiced up with excellent performances by the main actors.

Vengeance - Pfad der Vergeltung (2017)

Englisch I just like revenge movies, and when the bastards are really portrayed as bastards, I like it even more. Nicolas Cage is getting older, but he still pulls it off, and when he takes down the first one, it's just a fantastic scene. I don't care if this could realistically happen because it's entertaining enough to watch.

Valentinstag (2010)

Englisch Unfortunately, it's classic Garry Marshall from his later years of filmmaking. He emphasized having a lot of stars appear in the film, and Hector Elizondo, but the stories themselves are just geared towards having that classic happy ending and being pleasing. There is nothing that surprises, nothing that stands out, and nothing that really catches the eye.

Vanishing Waves (2012)

Englisch A very interesting concept, but in my opinion, it's not fully finished. It focused a lot on the inner level, but in reality, it could have been even darker than how it ultimately turned out. This way, it's an interesting psychological insight, but quite limited and without an effort to truly explore the dark side. But there are a few good scenes in there.

Haunted - 3D (2011)

Englisch Haunted - 3D is not a good horror film, which in my eyes lowers its value. After all, it's presented as a horror, but the fact that the romantic aspect is significantly more important here just brings it down and perhaps makes it more appealing to the masses, but not more appealing within its genre. And let's face it, even the romance isn't good. Moreover, the violence in the Indian rendition is still somewhat lacking, not to mention that the CGI here is terrible.

Der Gendarm vom Broadway (1965)

Englisch It's not as packed as the first film, and in many scenes - too many of them - it's just about characters goofing around. And several jokes are repeated almost to death. This isn't quite it, and I feel like the potential of New York was left untapped; it's just cops on the road dealing with the complication of one daughter.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - Die Wiege des Lebens (2003)

Englisch Slightly more interesting characters than in the first movie, but maybe it's just the cast. The action is once again bad, with some surprisingly weird and unfinished cuts, but the scene with the shark was the most disappointing for me, it could have been extra cool, but in reality, it was shit. Then it just became too dragged out.

Sometimes Aunt Martha Does Dreadful Things (1971)

Englisch Sometimes Aunt Martha Does Dreadful Things isn't a stunning spectacle, nor is it innovative or surprising, but it's a decently executed film where you can see the effort of the creators to make something watchable out of nothing. There's violence, there's a story, and there are fairly watchable characters; for me, it's a successful film, slightly above average, which will especially appeal to fans of lower-budget horror films.

Urbanized (2011)

Englisch I'm not exactly someone who knows every architect, but I think I can appreciate when a building is interesting, when it has nice features, when it stands out in some way. This is an even more interesting perspective, showing how cities grow, but also how they shrink. Here you will find opinions that you may never have thought of but that are worth thinking about.

Uncut Family (2004)

Englisch I guess I also have an idea of what this film was trying to say, but unfortunately, that doesn't mean it interested me. First and foremost, what was said here didn't seem all that interesting to me, even though the weirdness is undeniable, but what really got to me was the form, which simply hurt. From my point of view, it was impossible to watch and didn't add to the authenticity or strength of the meaning in my opinion.
