Biografie

Andrés Torres-Vives obtained a Master’s degree in film direction at UCLA. In the last two years, he received a Fulbright scholarship, a Jacob Javits grant and three other grants from the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts, as well as support from the McNamara Foundation. He also won the Jack Nicholson Distinguished Prize in Direction and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) award. His films have been shown at various festivals, including the HBO/New York International Latino Film Festival, and on KCET-LAs Fine Cut Series 2008. Torres-Vives has also worked on documentaries and in radio.
