Martin Barnewitz is educated from the alternative Danish film school Super16. Previously he has directed a number of short and documentary films. Martin's debut was the short film Video Diary May '99 (1999), afterwards came The Playmate (2001), and Another Girl (2003). He won an award for the short film Flash of Darkness (2004), a psychological thriller, at Mannheim-Heidelberg International Film festival. Following he directed Colossos (2006) and The Park (2006) for National Radio Drama.
