After Fine Arts studies in Epinal (France), Sandrine Stoïanov follows an animation and story board workshop at the Gobelins Animation School in Paris. She starts working as a set and character designer for TV series (Marsupilami, Les Nouvelles aventures de Lucky Luke), short films (Dernier metro avant Noël, Les Contes du cimetière Saint-Patrick…) and features (Persepolis). With Irinka et Sadrinka, her first short films, Sandrine Stoïanov “paints” the memories of her Russian aunt.
